Palace of Versailles
Versailles may be a political symbol, but it also has a long history as a place of art and culture. Louis XIV invited the most famed artists of the time to Versailles to entertain him with lavish productions. To keep this tradition alive, Château de Versailles Spectacles offers an annual programme of performances in Versailles’s most impressive spaces.
Take in a show and you’ll get to see some of the property’s most iconic places: the Royal Opera house, the Royal Chapel, the Hall of Mirrors or the sumptuous Hercules Salon. The programme includes both contemporary and classical concerts.
It’s a great way to discover the Palace in another light, with just a handful of other people – long after most visitors have left.
