Théâtre des Nouveautés

About

The Théâtre des Nouveautés finally settled on its current address at Boulevard Poissonnière after a long history and several other locations. Established in 1921, the theatre was initially famous for programming operettas, satires and political plays.

Today, the Théâtre des Nouveautés still sets the standard for vaudeville and light comedy. Each season features some of the genre’s most talented writers and most famous actors. Pascal Legros, director since 2010, is committed to preserving the theatre’s history and reputation – but he also knows how to explore more audacious themes. For example, Olivier Giraud presents a one-man show entirely in English!
