Caloé sings improvised jazz, plays music from different cultures, and writes both music and lyrics. A keen admirer of Ella Fitzgerald, she practices “scat”, a vocal style unique to jazz that consists of singing without words. It’s an art that requires both precision and technique.
Backed by a talented cohort of musicians, she has performed in France and abroad at some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including New York’s Tribeca Performing Arts Center, the Zinco Jazz Club in Mexico City, the Cosmopolite in Oslo, and the Fasching Jazz Club in Stockholm.
She was a semi-finalist at the famous Montreux Jazz Festival and runner-up at the Riga Jazz Stage.
