About
Here’s an unlikely combination: a Californian bassist from the 70s, a gypsy jazz guitarist reinvented as an electric guitarist, a reggae drummer and an erudite Parisian saxophonist. But somehow, they all blend harmoniously together thanks to the distinctive, austere voice of young Swedish singer Ellen Birath. She got them together in 2013 and, while you can hear their different influences, you can also feel their shared taste for music that makes you want to dance: rhythm and blues, soul, swing, ska, New Orleans, etc. It really does work!
